Paul is a man uncomfortable in his own skin. His 20-year marriage to Marielle is put to the test when she catches him in women's clothes, and he can no longer live the lie. Paul attempts suicide, making Marielle realize that his life means much more to her than his appearance. She loves his true self more than the person he pretends to be. Convinced that their love will allow them to reinvent their life together, they and their two children brave the reaction of others and live with tolerance and hope.

This is the story of Franck and Tina. Franck loves Tina, but she can't love him. The man of her life has just died and she's having a nervous breakdown. During a journey to Asia, where Tina attempts rediscover her zest for life, Franck gradually becomes indispensable as a guide, traveling companion and, soon, friend... Set in the French countryside in the 1600s, a lone rider deposits a newborn baby boy on the steps of a monastery, having bitten his nose off. The child is bought up by an ex-pirate and his wife and is taught to read, write, count, joust and fence, and is also given a wooden nose. However, he is ordered by a local baron to attend a tough seminary, but he soon rebels and makes an action-packed escape...
