Qarun, a rich man who has decided to suicide is saved by two penniless people, Ali Bigham and his friend Hassan Jeghjeghe. As the two guys take care of him, Qarun learns about the other part of the society and poor people's life.

Roum was conquered by European invaders, and its pregnant Banu (lady) forced to flee for her life. She becomes wedded to an Egyptian merchant and gives birth to her child, Arsalan.
