A section of the port Haliquen (Quiberon) Bretagne, at night where Dreyfus was landed by French marines, and officers after his transport from Devil's Island. He is received by the French authorities, officers, and gendarmes, and conducted to the station for his departure to Rennes. This little scene was enacted on a dark rainy night, which is clearly shown in the film. The effects are further heightened by vivid flashes of lightning which are certainly new in cinematography.

A magician's hat offers many surprises.

In this subject a "comique eccentric" enters the drawing room inhabited by spirits. He tries to take off his coat and hat, but these garments return to his head and shoulders as soon as he takes them off. The chairs, his umbrella, his hat, etc., fly away in different directions and by various methods.

A new Méliès discovery, presented for the first time in Pordenone. The Brahmin, Iftikar, who enjoys a great reputation in India, has determined to create something miraculous which will place the seal upon his renown. He sows some seeds upon a carpet, prostrates himself, and in the course of his invocations, in less than an instant, the grains germinate. A small rosebush grows and produces beautiful roses. Aided by his servant, the Brahmin makes of them a magnificent bouquet, which is changed into a single enormous rose. The flower spreads out its petals and from its centre there darts forth a lovely young woman, whom the Brahmin strives to embrace. But she eludes him and dances a fascinating serpentine dance. She disappears, and the rosebush takes her place. Iftikar destroys the rosebush, and he confesses himself vanquished, for he has been able to create, but not to preserve.

“Bouquet of illusions” is a short film French directed by Georges Méliès , released in 1901 in France and May 1902 , under the name of “the woman with three heads” , the United States in the early silent film . A most astounding film, showing a lady with three heads. These are taken away one after the other, and seem to be quite as lively when separated from the body as they were when united. The conjuror who is performing the trick also removes his own head without suffering any inconvenience, and walks about without it. There are also any number of other changes in this film, which has to be seen to be fully appreciated. —————— Frank Brinton was the son of a wealthy Iowa farmer, who also built a number of early airships in the 1890’s. He traveled the Midwest from 1879 to 1915 with his wife Indiana, first showing their pre-cinematic magic lantern slides. Since 1895, they were among the first to show moving images in the US. Michael Zahs, a retired teacher, discovered their fabulous magic lantern slide and film collection in 1981 in the basement of their old house. Part of the collection was preserved by the American Film Institute in the early 1980’s and deposited at the Library of Congress. The rest of the collection is being preserved today with the funding from Special Collections, the University of Iowa Library. In 2014, Serge Bromberg identified a lost George Méliès film in dreadful condition among the treasures of the Brinton Collection. Bouquet d’illusions was restored at Lobster Films laboratories in 2016, and is presented in Bologna in official world premiere.

Three friends are playing cards in a beer garden. One of them orders drinks. The waitress comes back with a bottle of wine and three glasses on a tray. The man serves his friends. They clink glasses and drink. Then the man asks for a newspaper. He reads a funny story in it and the three friends burst out laughing while the waitress merely smiles.

A weary traveler stops at an inn along the way to get a good night's sleep, but his rest is interrupted by odd happenings when he gets to his room--beds vanishing and re-appearing, candles exploding, pants flying through the air and his shoes walking away by themselves.
