A young zoologist interrupts his scientific expedition after learning about the sudden death of his father, a major trade figure. From the notes left behind by his father, the young man discovers with horror that he could not bear the betrayal revealed to him by his closest friend and ally, who also turned out to be his wife’s lover.

The hero of the film is an ordinary driver of a Moscow taxi, a kind and decent man. Each new working day promises him new meetings, acquaintances — sometimes joyful and pleasant, and sometimes demanding from him severe determination and courage.

Ana starts falling in love with an ecologist engineer that comes with her father who is from Russia.
