In the Tokugawa Era, the clan of Lord Yagyu has hidden away three scrolls containing clan secrets which, if revealed, would cause revolution and disaster for the clan. The information is divided among the three scrolls, all of which must be possessed for the secrets to be understood. When Princess Yuhime steals the scrolls, Tasaburo, a samurai with magical powers, and his brother Senshiro are sent to retrieve them. In Part II, the search for the scrolls continues.

This Japanese action-adventure is set in the 17th century when all forms of swordplay were banned. One fighter, an excellent swordsman believes the law is unfair. His brother keeps his opinions about the law to himself. The swordsman vents his frustration by cutting off the thumbs of an enemy. The fighter is then banished. To live, he becomes a thief. To restore the family's lost honor, the other brother is forced to challenge the fighter to a duel.

名優・阪東妻三郎主演、巨匠・稲垣浩監督作品として1938年に公開された「地獄の蟲」。その制作過程も壮絶なもので、当局の検閲によってずたずたに切り刻まれた末に公開された意欲作は、残念ながら現存していない。巨匠・稲垣浩の無念は後年になっても拭えるものではなかったが、およそ40年後、積年の想いが、バンツマの子息・田村高廣主演をもって成就する！無声映画で有名なマツダ映画社が製作を担い、その熱い思いのもと、様々な才能が集結。音楽は「ドラゴンクエスト」で有名なすぎやまこういち！主題歌の作詞はなかにし礼が担当！脇を固めるキャストも宮下順子ら実力派ぞろい。稲垣浩も監修として携わり、本作が関わった最後の作品となった。
江戸時代末期、奥州福島藩の城下町のひなびた山村に、悪どい高利貸し豪農弥左衛門が住んでいた。或る夜、盗賊黒雲団十郎一味がこの豪農一家を襲い、八人皆殺し、千両箱六個を盗んで逃げたという。村人は内心、天罰だと喜んだが、役人の命により山狩隊を組織し、盗賊の行方を追う。黒雲一味は、獄門権九郎、鉈の東兵衛、おさらば傳次、山猫の三次、お相撲の政、りゃんこの七、それに団十郎の情婦お登代の八人組。それぞれ、一くせも二くせもある悪人達で、土湯の山奥に逃げ込んだが、追手の追及は厳しく、一味は樹木の深い山中を逃げ惑う羽目になった。背中には重い千両箱、食糧も尽き、飢えと疲れで気持はすさむ。これに小判をめぐる葛藤が仲間割れを誘った。逃げる者、殺される者、一人、二人と減って行く。半獣的一団となり下がった彼等に、追手が迫る。何者も恐れなかった黒雲団十郎だが、ついに最期の時が来た。追い詰められた団十郎は、最後まで裏切らずについて来たお登代に逃げるように言うが、お登代は『お前さんと一緒に死ぬ 』と拒み、にっこり笑って団十郎に殺された。お登代の遺髪を胸に団十郎は、悪党の意地をかけて大立ち回り……

是发生在一九四五年七月的上海。太平洋战争接近尾声，日军方面和南京伪政府方面都拼了命，针对相当活跃了的重庆特务人员作抗衡。柏树单位的真锅中尉，与南京伪政府方面的丁士邨等人合作，担负起这项任务。不过，某一天夜晚，真锅中尉看到在百乐门夜总会唱歌的美丽歌手李莉莉的倩影。
莉莉是在长崎出生的日本女子，不过，年幼时失去双亲，成为李克明的养女，并且是在北京抚养长大。李克明是王兆铭的亲密朋友，被安排在南京伪政府里当任重要的位置，不过，私底下却从事与重庆有关的特务工作。
某天夜晚，担任重庆特务工作的吴宗文、周永洋、周的妻子~王秀兰等，在百乐门正秘密联络集聚，王秀兰和李莉莉在女子高中时期是闺中好友，这时久别从逢，说著过去种种的回忆。可是，秘密聚会被发现了，遭遇到丁士邨等人的袭击，王秀兰逃了出来，不过，周永洋则被真锅给击毙，李莉莉也受了伤。
隔日，去慰问李莉莉的真锅中尉，听到她与日本同样地热爱中国的真情，他的心被她吸引了，不过，丁士邨等人，为了利用她是王秀兰的亲密朋友这一点，强迫真锅中尉与她接近。随著对李莉莉的爱情加深，真锅中尉为了工作而利用她，感到很难受。
由於李克明想要离开上海而提出申请，不过，被日本方面拒绝。时间紧急迫在眉睫，私底下与重庆方面联络，打算逃出前往重庆。李莉莉向养父~李克明请求，要求与他们一同前往，但李克明严厉斥责与拒绝而离开，然后就不知去向。
真锅中尉日夜为李莉莉担忧，偷偷地告知她，她父亲的落脚处。这天晚上是李克明要逃脱上海的日子。可是，在出发之前遭受到丁士邨等人的袭击，混乱之际李克明的汽车成功逃脱了，不过，王秀兰被击毙，李莉莉被逮捕并宣判死刑。李莉莉被押赴刑场，正要被射击的时候，真锅中尉忍不住跑到她的跟前，一同被射击死去。

時は戦国、織田信長の軍勢に攻められた浅井長政の小谷城から三人の武士が落ちのびた。討ち死には御免と公言した猛者、疾風之介。忠義に厚い男、弥平次。疾風之介の思い人、加乃を連れ城から逃げ出した十郎太。それぞれに流転の人生を歩むこととなった三人は、やがて運命の糸に導かれるかのように再会を果たすが…。井上靖の原作を、時代劇の巨匠、稲垣浩監督が映画化。脚本に黒澤明も参加している。（form：NHKBS）

原作は、朝日新聞連載の村上元三の小説『佐々木小次郎』で、森田信義が東宝との提携によって製作、「二十歳前後」の松浦健郎と、演出の稲垣浩、原作者村上元三の三人の共同による脚色、「群盗南蛮船」に次ぐ稲垣浩の作品である。出演者は、歌舞伎の大谷友右衞門が小次郎に扮し、「鬼あざみ」の山根寿子、「帰郷(1950)」の徳大寺伸、「雪夫人絵図(1950)」の浜田百合子、「ごろつき船」の月形龍之介、「カルメン故郷に帰る」の高峰秀子、宝塚から起用の宮城野由美子、その他山本礼三郎、藤原釜足、柳永二郎、東野英治郎などの芸達者な助演者がならんでいる。

Edmund Rostand's play Cyrano de Bergerac, transplanted to Japan. A poet-warrior with an oversized nose (matched only by his great heart) loves a lady. But she sees him only as a friend, so he helps another man to woo her by giving him the poetry of his own heart.

During the raging war between the Toyotomi and Tokugawa clans, the swordsman Mohei (whose family has been completely decimated) is recruited by Toyotomi to overcome the seat of power, Osaka Castle. Mohei's daredevil skills will be put to severe tests.

A humble and simple Takezo abandons his life as a knight errant. He's sought as a teacher and vassal by Shogun, Japan's most powerful clan leader. He's also challenged to fight by the supremely confident and skillful Sasaki Kojiro. Takezo agrees to fight Kojiro in a year's time but rejects Shogun's patronage, choosing instead to live on the edge of a village, raising vegetables. He's followed there by Otsu and later by Akemi, both in love with him. The year ends as Takezo assists the villagers against a band of brigands. He seeks Otsu's forgiveness and accepts her love, then sets off across the water to Ganryu Island for his final contest.

After years on the road establishing his reputation as Japan's greatest fencer, Takezo returns to Kyoto. Otsu waits for him, yet he has come not for her but to challenge the leader of the region's finest school of fencing. To prove his valor and skill, he walks deliberately into ambushes set up by the school's followers. While Otsu waits, Akemi also seeks him, expressing her desires directly. Meanwhile, Takezo is observed by Sasaki Kojiro, a brilliant young fighter, confident he can dethrone Takezo. After leaving Kyoto in triumph, Takezo declares his love for Otsu, but in a way that dishonors her and shames him. Once again, he leaves alone.
