During a business trip to Geneva, Lina, a thirty-four-year-old fashion designer from Argentina, jumps off a bridge into the freezing river water in a natural, mechanical gesture. Back in Buenos Aires, she decides not to tell anyone, but develops a physical fear of water that prevents her from carrying out everyday activities. Since the incident, her view of the life choices she has made has become distant and critical. She revisits a painful past, coming from a working-class background that she has disowned for years, hoping to find answers to her deep malaise and her growing phobia, but her growing state of anxiety pushes her into a situation that has become intolerable.

Inès, 35 years old, is a photographer. She is in an emotionally fragile phase and begins putting together a book of personal poems and photographs. Gradually, the process of bringing a book to fruition becomes a very personal and unfettered exploration of her past: of her relationship with her mother; the role of the family home in the south, which seems to have been frozen in time; and how the absence of her father - who disappeared in 1977 during the dictatorship - influenced all of those years.

Marina, Sofía and Violeta are three teenage sisters who have just suffered the loss of the grandmother who raised them. Each one will live the mourning in her own way, in a house inhabited by a myriad of memories, responsibilities and tensions.
