Gang leader Nami (cult film legend Meiko Kaji) kills a member of a yakuza group and goes away to prison. Upon her release three years later, she’s a shamed woman confined to living in the shadowy world of sex clubs and street gangs. She returns to the city to live with her uncle, a billiard-hall owner, and after befriending pimp and ne’er-do-well Ryuji (Tsunehiko Watase), she gets a job working at a hostess club in the chic Ginza neighborhood, where the expensive shops and neon lights conceal a dark world of crime and sexual slavery. But when a rival gang attempts to muscle in on the club, Nami becomes enmeshed in a violent struggle that forces her to wield a skilled pool cue to defend her uncle’s business, and eventually a short sword to wreak bloody vengeance upon her enemies.

The Ginza Butterfly Nami (Meiko Kaji, returning to her role from the original) is back in a new story that finds her on the hunt for Hoshiden, the man who killed her gambler father when she was only a child. Arriving in Tokyo, Nami takes a job as a hostess in a swank Ginza club, all the while combing the back-alleys and gambling dens for news of Hoshiden’s whereabouts. Local street entrepreneur Ryuji (the Street Fighter himself, Sonny Chiba) joins her in the search, and eventually in a bloody raid on the yakuza headquarters where Hoshiden—now living incognito, under an assumed name—is hiding out.

大江戸捜査網は1970年（杉良太郎作品）から始まり、1991年（橋爪淳作品）で終了するまでの間約21年間も続いた超長寿番組です。 将軍家斉、老中松平定信を時代背景とし悪に挑戦する「隠密廻り同心」の話である。
隠密廻り同心は、町方同心の手の及ばない大きなスケールの事件を扱い、身を挺して死地におもむき七変化する忍び術にも、剣の道に練達し殺されても振り返る者もない影の者たちである。

Akiyama is an intern, disgusted with the noise pollution caused by the bullet trains and the heart attacks that noise has been causing in older hospital patients, plots to disrupt and, in ten days, destroy a unit of the operation. He warns the Japan National Railway, that, if nothing is done to reduce the noise, he will derail a bullet train. Takigawa is the police detective sent to stop him.

A police investigator cracks down on yakuza business, but once he realizes the police are in negotiations with certain factions, he sides with his own syndicate of choice.

兇器のように強靭な肉体を持つ西神勇次は、通称シニガミと呼ばれ恐れられていた。二年前、傷害事件で刑務所にぶちこまれ、いま、やっと仮釈放で出所した。この勇次を出迎えたのは、意外にも初対面の直と名のる青年だった。直は自ら裕福な家を出て、マリファナの密売に手を出していたが、最近取り引で失敗し、時価三千万円のマリファナと相棒の修平を強奪されてしまった。勇次に近づいたのは、彼の野獣のような力がマリファナと修平を取り戻すために必要だったからだ。こうして勇次のもとの恋人笑子と、直のトリオが出き上った。勇次と直の捜査の結果、友愛互助会と、サソリと異名をとる殺し屋の姿が浮び上って来た。サソリの忠告を無視して動き回る勇次たちのもとには修平の服をまとった血にまみれたマネキン人形が届けられた。もはや修平の死は間違いなかった。勇次たちと友愛互助会との抗争は激しくエスカレートしていった。そんな争いの中で笑子が殺された。ケリをつけようと決意した勇次は友愛ビルに殴り込むが、会長湯浅はマリファナを持ち、屋上からヘリで逃げようとしていた。殺し屋サソリの銃口に狙われた勇次は捕らえた湯浅を盾とするがサソリは遠慮なく銃撃する。湯浅は死にサソリも勇次らの反撃にあい銃殺される。マリファナを取り戻した勇次と直はヘリに乗り込み、上空へと飛び立っていった。

Two Japanese men help a Vietnam war deserter escape from Japan for Sweden. They plan to fund the escape by selling LSD pills. After word of the drug deal gets spread around they find themselves fending off rival gangs.

Jiro, an ex-convict, comes back to the street after eight years. The gang to which he belonged is nearly disbanded; only the aging boss in his sick bed remains. Still loyal to the ex-boss, Jiro approaches the powerful Hasama family to ask for assistance. Hasama kindly offers him a job: to settle the dispute in the rising manufacturing city where two opposing gangs battle over the land. Hasama promises Jiro that he will be given control over the land if he completes the task. Jiro heads first to the city with six other outlaws summoned by Hasama. However, Hasama suddenly breaks the promise and Jiro is driven to desperate measures.

Akemi is a dragon tattooed leader of the Tachibana Yakuza clan. In a duel with a rival gang Akemi slashes the eyes of an opponent and a black cat appears, to lap the blood from the gushing wound. The cat along with the eye-victim go on to pursue Akemi’s gang in revenge, leaving a trail of dead Yakuza girls, their dragon tattoos skinned from their bodies.

Hijiriko makes off from the bar she works at with money and a car that isn’t hers. Meanwhile, Jiro Katagiri is up to no good with his gangster friends and ends up making off with all their ill-gotten gains, much to their disapproval. The two misfits end up meeting after a car crash and soon end up on the road together in (another) stolen car. It’s not long before the police take an interest in the crimes, and of course the gangsters are hot on Jiri’s heels; meaning the two must scarper across Japan by any means necessary.

《曾根崎心中》（1703）是净琉璃史上第一部现实剧（世话物），也是日本最早的社会故事剧，引起了很大轰动。这第一部净琉璃中的现代情死剧，它所反映的不仅是当时的一种社会悲剧，而且还有新兴町人阶级的道德观和日本的传统文化观念。《曾根崎心中》改编自元禄16年（1703年）旧历四月七日早上，大阪堂岛新地天满屋的游女初（はつ）（21岁）与内本町酱油商平野屋的店员德兵卫（徳兵卫）（25岁）在梅田曾根崎的露天神森林中殉情一事。

人気TV時代劇『鬼平犯科帳』をTVと同じ中村吉右衛門主演で映画化。火付盗賊改方長官・長谷川平蔵は、兇賊・蛇の平十を捕らえ、火あぶりにかけるが、平十は“仲間が必ず仇をとる“と不吉な言葉を残して果てた。平蔵の密偵・おまさは、昔なじみで今も心に秘める狐火の勇五郎と再会。その夜、盗賊が薬種問屋・山田屋に押し入り、家人らを惨殺、“狐火“の絵札を残して消えるという事件が起こった。おまさは、一味の頭は勇五郎の異母弟の文吉であることを平蔵に告げ、勇五郎と二人で文吉らのもとに乗り込む。危ないところで盗賊改方に助けられるが、文吉の背後には大坂（昔の大阪）の大盗賊・白子の菊右衛門がおり、江戸の大頭目・荒神のお豊と手を組んで平蔵失脚を謀ろうとしていた……。映画では、平蔵の情の部分とあわせ、“鬼“と呼ばれる凄味が強く描かれていく。

歌舞伎俳優で人間国宝、中村吉右衛門さんが２８年間牽引（けんいん）してきた主演ドラマ「鬼平犯科帳」（フジテレビ系）が今冬で最終回を迎える。
