茫茫大海之上，阳光普照，但是海面上漂着许多船只碎片残骸，可以想见不久前或者发生过激烈的海战，或者有一场强劲的暴风雨摧毁了曾经不可一世的海盗船。在一块稍大的甲板碎片上，插着破破烂烂的骨头海盗旗。身形健硕的红胡子海盗气息奄奄躺在甲板之上，他正等待死亡的到来，却依然不愿放弃身边那满满一箱子的金银财宝。就在此时，死神降临了。计划中死神将带走海盗的灵魂，不过在此之前还有一点儿时间。死神百无聊赖，自顾自做起了游戏。间或扔财宝取乐，间或用金币钓鱼冲浪。
平日里做惯了勾魂的无聊工作，总得给自己找点儿乐子……

一个肥胖的长途卡车司机，独自驾驶着汽车奔驰在被黑暗笼罩的高速公路上。此时他困意十足，疲劳地进行着这段可怕的旅程，全然没有注意到副驾驶位置坐着那个身穿黑色斗篷、手拿镰刀的死神。死神紧张地注视着手里的沙漏，那是关系这男人命运的时间计。眼看沙子就要漏光，严重的车祸如期而至。稍后，胖男人被送入了急救室，他还有微弱的气息，无法遽然前往另一个世界。死神为了带走胖司机，趁主治大夫走神的工夫悄悄溜进急救室，他希望通过一些小伎俩再推胖司机一把，让他尽快前往死亡的国度。
看起来死神的计谋得逞了，然而意外突然发生……

This story is about an astronaut who, as a child, dreamed of flying and being free. And now he seems to be flying in the sky, but he is actually locked in the capsule of a spacecraft. One day, minor problems lead to bigger problems, causing the spaceship to lose control and collapse on Earth.
