In a town where strict rules shape students into their “best selves,” a hidden Bloodfruit Tree bears crimson fruit. A mysterious boy in black delivers these fruits only to those who truly “need” them. Once received, they awaken long-suppressed desires—gently unraveling the heart, and quietly leading the town toward irreversible collapse.

Zheng Xiang reunites with the members of his high school band and reminisces about their lead singer and his past love, En Pei, whose pursuit of her dreams ended in tragedy. He regrets encouraging her to join the pageant, wondering if she would have died if he hadn't done so.
