Lovesexy is an album by Prince, released in 1988. Lovesexy was issued as a substitute record after the release of the infamous Black Album had been suddenly canceled. The Black Album and Lovesexy almost act as companion pieces, sharing the song "When 2 R In Love", but are nearly opposite in theme. The album was recorded in just seven weeks, from mid-December 1987 to late January 1988, at Prince's new Paisley Park Records, and most of the album is a solo effort from Prince, with a few exceptions. The opening track, "Eye No", was recorded with the full band (Miko Weaver on guitar, Levi Seacer, Jr. on bass, Doctor Fink and Boni Boyer on keyboards, Eric Leeds on saxophone, Atlanta Bliss on trumpet and Sheila E. on drums). Sheila E., in fact, plays drums on several tracks and sings backup, along with Boyer. Leeds and Bliss provide horns on most tracks, and Ingrid Chavez provides the intro to "Eye No". As opposed to the LP release, early CD copies of Lovesexy have the entire album in sequence as a single track, so the album is heard in the context of a continuous sequence, though later editions have it as nine separate tracks.

Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic is a remix album by Prince (his stage name at that time being an unpronounceable symbol), released via mail exclusively through the NPG Music Club, an Internet subscription service, on 29 April, 2000. The album is a remix of Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic, released the previous year.
The album makes a number of alterations to its predecessor. Five tracks ("Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic", "Undisputed (The Moneyappolis Mix)", "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold", "Hot Wit U (Nasty Girl Remix)" and "Man'O'War (Remix)") have been remixed or had substantial musical elements added. Seven tracks ("So Far, So Pleased", "I Love U, but I Don't Trust U Anymore", "Silly Game", "Whatever U Do, Wherever U Go", "The Sun, the Moon and Stars", "Tangerine" and "Prettyman") are mostly unchanged, save for slightly longer tag endings, or extended jams at the end of a song ( "Prettyman"). Lastly, two tracks, "Strange but True" and "Everyday Is a Winding Road", have been removed and replaced by the moody "Beautiful Strange", a previously unreleased track written in 1998.
As it was released via the fan-centric NPG Music Club, the album received virtually no attention from wider media. However, with several improved songs, the removal of two weaker tracks, and the addition of "Beautiful Strange", one of the album's highlights, fans generally consider Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic to be superior to its predecessor.

The Chocolate Invasion is a 2004 album by Prince released only through his website, NPG Music Club. All the tracks except "The Dance" were previously available on the same website in 2001, although some may have rearrangements in music and/or lyrics. "U Make My Sun Shine", a duet with Angie Stone, was released as a single in 2001. Three more tracks had a limited release as CD singles during Prince's 2001 "Hit'N'Run" Tour: "Supercute", "Underneath The Cream", and "Gamillah". The album's title comes from a line in "Judas Smile". "The Dance" was later re-recorded and included on the 2006 album, 3121. All the tracks except "Judas Smile" and "The Dance" were at one point included on the aborted album project High.
