"Never Too Far/Hero Medley" is a medley recorded by American singer Mariah Carey and released as a charity single in 2001. It combines the first verse of Carey's song "Never Too Far" (2001) — co-written and co-produced by Carey, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis — with a re-recorded version of the first verse and bridge of "Hero" (1993) — co-written and co-produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff, who did not receive producing credit on the medley (Randy Jackson, however, did). The single was meant to express a message of unity and love in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.

"Forever" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey from her fifth studio album, Daydream. It was released by Columbia Records on March 10, 1996, as an airplay-only single from the album. The song was written by Carey and Walter Afanasieff, who also served as producer. Its lyrics describe a situation where the protagonist knows her relationship with her lover has withered away, however he will continue living in her memory forever. The song's music video is a collage of snippets from Carey's shows at the Tokyo Dome, during her Daydream World Tour in 1996. Most of the video is the performance of the song during one of the three Japanese shows on the tour. Serving as an airplay only song in the US, and a limited release around the world, the song achieved minimal chart success. In the United States, Billboard rules did not allow the charting of non-commercially released songs. For this reason, it did not chart on the Hot 100, however peaking at number two on the Adult Contemporary chart. Outside the US, the song peaked at number eleven in Canada, forty in New Zealand and forty-four in the Netherlands.

#1 to Infinity is the sixth greatest hits album by American singer-songwriter and producer Mariah Carey. It was released by Sony Music Entertainment on May 15, 2015. It features Carey's then eighteen US number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. A new recording called "Infinity" was released as the only single on April 27, 2015. In January 2015, the singer announced that she had signed a residency deal to perform at The Colosseum at the Caesars Palace hotel in Las Vegas in May and July 2015, (later extended into 2016 and 2017) and would perform all of her number ones. As a result, she decided to re-release her first compilation, 1998's #1's, with an updated list of subsequent chart toppers. Carey promoted the album with her #1 to Infinity residency and with live performances at the Billboard Music Awards, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Live! with Kelly and Michael.

American singer and real diva Mariah Carey plans to make an updated version of her first compilation album “#1’s“, released 1998. The lead single to promote this new compilation is called “Infinity“, and it’s scheduled to be released on 27 April 2015.

"The Roof (Back In Time)" is a song co-written by American singer Mariah Carey, Cory Rooney and the Trackmasters (Samuel Barnes and Jean Claude Oliver) for Carey's seventh album, Butterfly (1997). Co-produced by Carey and the Trackmasters, it is built around a sample of the Mobb Deep song "Shook Ones part II". The extended remix features a rap verse by Mobb Deep. The protagonist of this piano-driven, hip hop-influenced track recalls an intimate encounter on a rooftop.
