The moving story of the last generation of Holocaust survivors who travel to Poland with thousands of teenagers from around the world to retrace the Death March from Auschwitz to Birkenau.

Two friends determined to become respected police officers face prejudice and ridicule for being openly gay. Given one final chance, they go undercover to infiltrate a dangerous gang terrorizing the city. Posing as inmates, they navigate chaotic events, including a botched prison escape, while maintaining their cover and planning an ambush to take down the gang leader and her operation. Their mission culminates unexpectedly at a major fashion event, where they confront the criminals and finally prove their abilities, earning the respect they’ve long sought. The story blends action, comedy, and satire, highlighting themes of courage, friendship, and queer identity in traditionally macho spaces.

Redentor is a surrealistic tale of greed and corruption in the chaotic Brazilian society. It seems to be inspired in the real case of the scum Brazilian constructor Sérgio Naya, and anyway is based in many elements of our very unfair society where justice rarely works in situations like showed in the movie. The story is amazingly good, with the exception of the conclusion, which gives a religious connotation to the plot, being corny for my taste. The performances of Pedro Cardoso and Miguel Falabella are spectacular as usual, and the whole cast has also great acting.
