意大利导演卢西奥·弗尔兹是上世纪意大利著名的恐怖片导演，作品多以感官刺激和血腥镜头惊吓为主，如《僵尸》系列。有一批数量不多但十分固定的影迷。弗尔兹习惯自编自导，也喜欢出演自己的作品。而《桃色响尾蛇》是其导演并参与演出的代表作之一。
