A photographer gets involved with a family as he seeks for a new model in a small town.

The story begins with the ambiguous relationship between friends Viola and Luma, who seem predestined to literally enter each other's lives. Born on the same day, in very different situations, they meet years later, united by coincidences that go beyond their birthday. From humble origins, Viola moves with her boyfriend Mavi to Angra dos Reis, where Luma lives a luxurious life and dates Rudá, who ends up meeting Viola by chance. Thus begins the duo's journey, which goes from a passion for recipes to an obsession with the same man, from the immediate connection to the point of starting to live their friend’s reality, 10 years later. A journey divided between complicity and rivalry, which includes them in a love quadrangle and is impacted by a series of circumstances, twists and surprises, such as the secret surrounding a murder.

Two neighboring couples are shocked after their teenage children's fight, with absurd consequences. What could be a common misunderstanding grows and reveals the limits and influence of parents in raising children.

They live in Petrópolis, a small city on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, and have four c hildren. Fernando (16); Rodrigo (10), and the twins (5). The couple has been struggling for years to finish building their new house. Irene works as an independent seller while finishing her studies to get her high-school diploma. Klaus runs a small copy shop where he also sells books. Fernando, their eldest son, plays handball. After being the highlight of the season, the boy is invited to join a professional team in Germany and will leave his parents house much sooner than expected. Among the everyday issues of their family's life, Irene will have to deal with the early separation from Fernando and adapt to a new life without him.

Walking by with their three children, Batista and Maria look like their biggest problem is an autistc daughter. However, they have more complicated problems. Batista is an alcoholic fighting for rehabilitation. Maria is a devoted wife living a fiery affair with her daughter's boyfriend, Emília, that poses as a prude but seduces her own boss. Pedro, the oldest, is lost when beginning adulthood. Among the plot, tied by moments of tension and surprise, the family will break down little by little.
