纳特（阿米特巴·巴强 Amitabh Bachchan 饰）身为鬼魂，不但无法吓到人类，反而还被常常被小孩子吓得半死，这让他遭到了其他鬼魂们的嘲笑，鬼王决定给纳特最后一次机会，他必须降临人间吓到20个孩子方算完成任务，如果任务失败，那么他就将被驱逐出冥界。
就这样，纳特来到了人间，幸运的是，他第一个遇见的，是一个叫阿克赫罗特（Parth Bhalerao 饰）的胆小孩子，纳特成功的吓到了他，但是，这一人一鬼间，却莫名其妙的建立起了穿越阴阳的友谊。他们的共同敌人是一位名叫巴哈乌（博曼·伊拉尼 Boman Irani 饰）的政客，为了能够当选，他不择手段的给民众洗脑，造成人心惶惶。
