9岁的玛蒂尔德自从父母离婚之后就跟母亲海伦同住，她的祖父保罗刚做完手术，拥有一间名字叫“长颈鹿的脖子”的书店。12月的一个夜晚，玛蒂尔德拿着一封信去找祖父。是玛德莲的来信，说她祖母失踪了30年，要保罗帮忙一起找到她。第二天早上，他们前往比亚里兹。由此保罗、玛蒂尔德和海伦三人便展开了寻找真相的旅程……

二战期间，一支德国部队开进了一个叫做圣劳伦斯的法国小村庄，被高度近视的神父误认为是美军。正当村民们敲锣打鼓，夹道欢迎时，德军的出现让他们十分尴尬。德军进驻小村庄，村民们不愿帮助德国人，他们藏起食物，并不断的给德军添乱，笑料百出……

Rosemonde, hailed as "the Princess" reign over a slum in the Paris suburbs. Herbert, a reporter who came to investigate on the pollution, ends up in a grinding machine of her invention. Rosemonde resells the bones to the church authorities who use them as holy relics. Inspector Adrian Bondu is handling the case... But a young hippie who looks like Jesus will have Rosemonde suddenly feel very earthly feelings...

L'action se situe, comme le titre l'indique, dans un palace ou grand hôtel. Des saynètes humoristiques sans queue ni tête s'enchaînent tout au long de l'émission dans différents lieux du palace (cuisine, réception, ascenseur, chambre etc.)
