A fictionalized documentary on Japanese writer Nakagami Kenji, who died young in 1992. Nakagami was the chronicler of the seaside town of Shingu. Many of Nakagami's stories are set in a specific alley in Shingu, an alley that has now gone, but that lives on in the fiction of Nakagami. And also on celluloid, because the writer filmed the alley before its demolition. Filmmaker Izuchi Kisshu goes in search of what is left of Nakagami's alley. The specific mood of the small harbour town, however, turns out to be difficult to find. Kisshu reads the books of Nakagami out loud for us at the locations where they are set, but it is difficult to invoke the magic. Time and again, we return to the film images made by Nakagami, while Kisshu seems to search in vain in the present. The mood of the harbour town is vulnerable and precious yet can disappear just like that
Kenji Nakagami one of the most notable Japanese writers of the post-war died in 1992. Is work reveals a strong connection to is homeland, Kishu: a mountainous region which connects to the pacific ocean trough a river. "To The Alley" (alternative title) is a documentary about Kenji's life. Recurring to 16 mm images from the writer's personal archive and adding new footages the director Aoyama travels trough the paths of the life and art of the Japanese writer

「WILD LIFE」に続き早くも登場する青山真治の監督第4作。拳銃を奪われた刑事と、その拳銃で殺人を続ける青年が、運命的に“出会う“までを、文学的なタッチで丹念に描写する。新興宗教の幹部がマスコミの目の前で殺された。射殺犯を追う嵯峨は、逆に撃たれ意識を失っている間に、何者かに拳銃を奪われる。嵯峨は警察を辞め、単独で犯人を追うが……。

This sounds like the kind of half-brilliant, half-mad kind of film making that rarely happens anymore. It's called 60 Seconds of Solitude in Year Zero, and it's an omnibus production organized by the city of Talinn, Estonia, featuring the directing talents from around the world. Screening this August in Talinn, the film will be comprised of 60 one-minute silent shorts which will be projected outdoors on a large screen for one showing only.
Because afterwards, the festival organizers will burn the screen and the single existing 35 MM print of the movie.
The current slate of directors includes Mark Boswell, Albert Serra, Mika Taanila, Malcolm Le Grice, Kari Yli-Annala, Ilppo Pohjola, Naomi Kawase, Sogo Ishii, Shinji Aoyama, Joshua and Ben Sadfadie, and Philippe Grandrieux, with more names on the way. 60 Seconds of Solitude in Year Zero is still accepting submissions from filmmakers on their site.

「カオスの縁」は「イメージ」ではない。
「カオスの縁」は「実感」である。
「実感」は空間を持たない。だからそれそのものとして視覚的に認識することは不可能である。
だが「幽霊」としてならばどうだろう。
とはいえ「幽霊」をこちらで作り出せるわけでもなく、よって我々はただ「幽霊」の現れるだろう場所に
デジタルキャメラを向け、その時間の推移を追跡し、「実感」のような何かを捕獲しようとしたのだ。
にしても、相変わらず「実感」はとらえどころのない非＝イメージであることに変わりはなく、
そこで我々の見ることができるのは「幽霊」なのだが、同時にそれは「実感」の落とした影であり、 しかし影は影なのだが……。
カトラーのいう＜ポップ＞とは、そのような「実感」と「幽霊」とのいたちごっこのシステムである。
不可逆な歴史の途上で、不意に娯楽と芸術の二元論に別れを告げて増殖を始める＜ポップ＞。
『FILE UNDER POPULAR』と銘打たれたこのビデオシリーズは、
その＜ポップ＞を追跡する果てしないドライヴ（欲動）の軌跡としてあろうとする。
それは同時に、日々われわれの手から零れ落ちていく本質なるもの、
つまり「実感」そのものへのデライヴ（遡行）にもなりうるだろう

第53回カンヌ国際映画祭に出品された『ユリイカ』で国際批評家賞を受賞した青山真治監督が、本学の依頼で撮影した作品が『海流から遠く離れて』である。
大学を卒業して20年近く経ったある男が、仕事上の行き詰まりを感じ、久しぶりに訪れた大学。満開の桜の下、広い構内をひたすら歩き、自らの過去と現在を、そして大学の意味を考え続ける男。 社会という「海流」にもまれた男が、わずかな間その「海流」から身を離し、空間と時間の旅をする。
青山真治監督のデビュー作『Ｈｅｌｐｌｅｓｓ』の好演で注目された光石研がその男を演じている。実験施設、教室、附属図書館・・・・・・・ゆっくりとした男の歩行が、見る者を大学についての旅に誘う。国際映画祭で数々の受賞歴のある、たむらまさきは流麗なキャメラワークで、その男の歩みを追っている。

在郊外一家小出版社工作的小早川直实，还没有完全接受父母的突然死亡，在叔叔夫妇的安排下住在了可以俯视大城市的塔型公寓的高层。和长年相伴的黑猫春一起生活，在职场上被有隐情的孕妇后辈以及精神饱满的伙伴包围，尽管如此还是抱有失落感，住在同一栋公寓的明星演员时户森则出现在生活得漂浮不定的直实面前。虽然沉溺在和他如梦般的幽会中，但她知道前方是看不见的未来。而那样的日常生活在不久后也会有所变化。
