In a station bar, a business traveler meets a girl and decides to leave his fiancee and merry her.

Adaptación de la obra de teatro homónima de Jardiel Poncela. Un marido dominado por su autoritaria esposa fallece víctima de un ataque cardíaco el día en que ella lo obliga a afeitarse su querida barba para acudir a un baile de disfraces vestido de torero. Su espectro comienza entonces a pasearse por la casa y a provocar los más inesperados enredos. Cuando, finalmente, consigue materializarse decide instalarse definitivamente y recuperar a su mujer, que se ha convertido mientras tanto en un ser dulce y comprensivo.
