The renowned orchestra presents the world's biggest annual classical open air concert live from their hometown Vienna/ Austria on Thursday, May 14th, 2015 - The Summer Night Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic is an annual open-air event that takes place in the magical setting of the Schönbrunn Palace Baroque park in Vienna with the palace as a magnificent backdrop. Each year up to 100,000 people take up the ifree nvitation. The concert is also broadcast on TV and radio in more than 60 countries, and thus reaches an audience of millions. In 2015 Zubin Mehta will conduct the Summer Night Concert and pianist Rudolf Buchbinder joins the orchestra as guest-soloist.

Anna Netrebko triumphed at the 2006 Salzburg Festival with her winning portrayal of Susanna in Claus Guth's new production of Le nozze di Figaro, available now in a 3 CD set. Led by conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt with the Vienna Philharmonic, this production of Figaro garnered critical acclaim: "Guth and Harnoncourt have opened up a new perspective on an opera that is normally staged as a lightweight, turbulent farce," wrote the Zeit Online, while Die Welt described Harnoncourt as "a sorcerer able to conjure up magical sounds." Bloomberg echoed the positive accolades: "This Marriage of Figaro should go down in history as departing director Peter Ruzicka's greatest Salzburg achievement... four hours of perfection." Anna Netrebko's performance also received rave reviews: "The Russian pearl with the servant's apron is part of the whole, flying along as if weightless, as light as a wisp of smoke, wholly individual," reported Die Welt.
