While delivering a speech at his son’s junior high school opening ceremony after returning from abroad, Wang Xiaochuan, CEO of a renowned internet company, looks back on his youthful days in Class Two, Grade Nine—a class once labeled a gathering of troubled students—and the precious growing journey with his head teacher Mr. Tian.

Set in the Xinhai Revolution era, the story tells of Liu An Shun, a promising escort master in a reputable armed escort business owned by his teacher.
