The story of Monica Chowdry, a National Spelling Bee champ…from 15 years ago. Life hasn’t quite panned out as expected for Monica since her big win. When her estranged older brother returns home to help care for their sick mother, the siblings must find a way to reconcile.

A group of 20-somethings navigates post-college life in New York City as they balance friendships, relationships, and uncertain careers. At the center is Jason Strider, who spends more time hanging out with his friends in Brooklyn bars and pursuing casual romance than chasing his goal of becoming a music journalist. His priorities shift after a one-night stand leaves him searching for the woman who walked out with more than just his heart.
