比利时世界电影音乐学院（The World Soundtrack Academy）十月十五日在根特的法兰德斯影展上宣布了「年度最佳电影配乐作曲家」的得主，法国人拍摄主演，好莱坞资金介入的《未婚妻的漫长等待（Un long Dimanche de Fian?ailles）》作曲家安吉娄．巴德拉曼提（Angelo Badalamenti）出人意料地得到了这座奖。
由‘华纳兄弟’旗下的子公司‘Warner Independent’投资的《A Very Long Engagement》（漫长的婚约）是法国历史上预算最高的一部电影。导演是曾执导《Amelie》（天使爱美丽）的法国着名导演Jean-Pierre Jeunet。影片根据Sebastien Japrisot所着的畅销小说改编，讲述一战后一位妇女试图寻找未婚夫失踪真相的故事。Jeunet称已经为这样一部梦想中的电影等了10年，一段横跨战火的真爱史诗情是浪漫的，命运是现实的，一个年轻的法国女孩玛蒂德选择相信自己的直觉，坚信青梅竹马的爱人马涅克终将回到她的身边。
电影音乐由纽约音乐家安吉罗贝德拉曼提(Angelo Badalamenti)谱写，安吉罗曾以《史崔特先生的故事》、《穆荷兰大道》等片二度入围金球奖最佳原着音乐，同时也以《双峰》获得艾美奖与葛莱美奖的提名，代表作包括与鬼才导演大卫林奇合作的《蓝丝绒》、《我心狂野》、《惊狂》以及《海滩》、《危险关係-影集版》、《鬼水怪谈-西洋篇》…等片。这是安吉罗继九五年坎城影展开幕片《惊异狂想曲》后，二度为导演尚皮耶居内的作品担纲音乐创作，安吉罗选择在坐落於洛杉磯的米高梅录音室进行录音创作，在这个录製过《绿野仙踪》、《爵士春秋》以及无数经典音乐片的录音室中，安吉罗充分掌握了古典交响乐温暖与悲美的色泽，以非常简单，但却瀰漫着浪漫主义色彩的动人旋律，细细地呵护着女主角无悔的爱意，展露了他在与大卫林奇的合作作品所练就的营造影像气氛的本领，而每当象徵着玛蒂德的法国号或是小喇叭响起时，则是不免让人为这段饱受无情战火考验的美丽恋情感到一阵唏嘘。

Pictures, comes "A Very Long Engagement" – a love story set during World War I featuring the director and star of "Amelie," Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Audrey Tautou. With a box-office total of $152 million, "Amelie" is one of the most popular foreign language films of recent years. Director Jeunet’s "Engagement" is the biggest budget French film in history, opening on 800 screens in its home country. Based on the acclaimed novel by Sebastien Japrisot, the story takes place at the close of the war, when Mathilde(Tautou) receives word that her fiancee is one of five wounded soldiers who have been court-martialed and forced into the no-man’s-land between the French and German lines to die an almost certain death. Unwilling to accept that her lover is lost to her forever, Mathilde embarks on an investigation, strengthened by a steadfast hope. In her quest to discover his fate, she is drawn deeper into the horrors of war and the indelible marks it leaves on those whose lives it has touched. The orchestral score is by Angelo Badalamenti ("Twin Peaks," "Mulholland Drive," "The Company," "The Straight Story," "Lost Highway"), conducted by Phil Marshall.

2008 soundtrack to the motion picture starring Keira Knightley. The soundtrack is mostly composed by Angelo Badalamenti but also features tracks Knightley performs in the film, including 'Blue Tahitian Moon', 'Maybe It's Because I Love You Too Much' and 'Drifting And Dreaming'. The Edge Of Love soundtrack also features Suggs from Madness ("Hang Out The Stars In Indiana") and a song written by Badalamenti sung by Siouxsie Sioux, Beth Rowley and Patrick Wolf.
