2005 film by Eduardo Schuldt

A huge wave is about to destroy the city. Many people leave in panic, only a few remain in the lonely streets. Among them are SEBASTIAN, a skeptical and irresolute young loner; ANA, a woman who seeks in others the passion she can’t live; and an apocalyptic GIRL. They turn the city into a games board where the stakes are love and the end of the world.

After meeting in an anger management group, two women embark on a journey of empowerment and friendship when they set out to expose a surgeon with a suspicious reputation.

María Fe, still single but not so sought after, faces the existential crisis and the blank page as any mature and sensible woman would: by getting involved with the wrong guy.

Great movie! I believe some of the artwork for this film - if not all - was commissioned to Carlos Zamora. Zamora is a local Peruvian artist who's recent work has gotten excellent reviews. Peruvian films are well noted for containing a social and moral complexity in the dynamics of the subjects, which results in a story delivering several combinations of moods and genre. Daniel Rodriguez has done several shorts, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of the full length films that he'll be bringing about. Overall, this movie is a must-see.
