This record starts with a piece of more than 13 minutes, recorded around 1965 with Ian Sommerville somewhere in New York and London -- K-9 was in combat with the alien mind-screens, including various monologues, radio short waves and music...Tapes, cut and cut and cut up to the limit of sense -- emerged new structures of communication... and senses. The Acid Lands is a piece of music featuring the words of William Burroughs, taken from his novels The Western Lands and Junkie. It was originally performed by Opening Performance Orchestra, Martina Potucková and narrator Pavel Z in 2014 to celebrate what would have been Burrough’s 100th birthday. This studio version was recorded in 2019 which featured Iggy Pop as narrator and Bill Laswell on bass. The record also features a Bill Laswell remix.
