Director Haritidis undertakes to adapt his friend, Prefect Panagiotis Psomiadis' book about their parents' adventures for the cinema. The book is about two children who unwittingly witness a mafia clash but, more importantly, see where these people hid a treasure. Years later, the two boys, crippled by debt, decide to search for it. Unfortunately for them, a convent has been built on the site. The adventures begin when the two men, now grown up, try to devise ways to enter the convent and search for the treasure undisturbed.

The Fontas Tsakiris is a truck driver and avid viewer. His dream is to have his taxi, but loses his job and is forced to seek employment elsewhere. Recourse to a TV production company, which is run by Flora, the dynamic daughter delicate Spyros Apostolou. There, the director of the big successes Belokas Harry discovers his talent and his Fontas accepts to star in the new TV series, with the condition to keep secret his marriage to Martha, which is forced to represent his sister, Christina.

Lalakis, a penniless guy, is obsessed with expensive imported clothing, and through various petty schemes he manages to satisfy his "shopping" addiction. When he gets fired from his job and is left penniless, an Italian woman, Livia, appears and suggests that they import cosmetics from Italy to Greece. Lalakis gladly accepts and goes to Rome to bring them back, but he gets mixed up with a gang of antiquities smugglers, who follow him to Greece. However, he manages to neutralize them and subsequently becomes wealthy from the imported cosmetics.

In 1984, photophobic Zano arrives in Athens and quickly gets devoured by the dark underbelly of the capital city.

The film tells the story of a magical night in Athens. A man has a dream that concerns a strange robbery. When he returns home, he finds that all his belongings have been stolen in an equally strange manner. The man calls the police and an experienced cop tries to solve the case with rather unorthodox methods. But as the night drags on the mystery gradually appears to spread throughout the city. Strange incidents lead the heroes on a journey that appears to escape reality and meet the world of the dream.
