The death of her father during a dual is so traumatic, it causes a woman to sleepwalk and get into fights she doesn't remember the next day. A Shaolin monk helps her focus her grief and skills.

This film is set during the Japanese occupation of China circa WWII. In it, the Japanese occupiers (and the Chinese Quislings who work for them) are portrayed as total monsters who kill children and rape all women. The heroes are resistance fighters who oppose the occupation.

Ah Fu (Wong Tao) and Chen Ting Kuan (Carter Wong) are a couple of kung fu men in the escort service business with top notch kung fu. Ah Fu gets tired of the escort service and quits to take up the life of a normal man. In his new “life”, Ah Fu runs into a thief named Li Chi (Li Kun), and the two become the best of friends. Life is great! Ah Fu gets married to a pretty girl, Yu Lan (Ha Ling Ling). He has money, servants, and foot massages. What else could you want? Ah Fu’s life gets turned upside down when a mantis fist expert named Nan Kung Ping (Lung Fei) shows up at Ah Fu’s doorsteps seeking to avenge the death of his brother.

Story is about how a revolutionist, played by Cheng Pei Pei, taking on the identity of a Captain's (Ou Wei) long lost sister who is actually dead. Cheng manages to fool the Captain for a while, but little by little, the Captain catches on to her and the revolutionist's plan to stop Chinese-Japanese relations.

剧情大致为江明扮演的赌徒阿旺在归途中巧遇南茜燕扮演的三娘“卖身葬父”，刚好赢了钱的阿旺於是慷慨地给了她五十两银子。只是一时冲动阿旺并无趁人之危占便宜的想法，但三娘知恩图报，宁愿跟著他吃苦流浪，甚至在阿旺把她当作赌码输掉後，变作鬼的她依然记得阿旺的恩情，寄望投胎後要再嫁给他。然而赌性难改的阿旺把经营的绸缎生意也再次输去，并受到赌场老板的百般作贱，最终才决心断绝赌毒，狠下心自斩手指。这些，足以作为生活中赌徒的“照妖镜”，极为生动有力地为嗜赌的人敲响警钟。编导并没有安排生硬的说教，甚至穿插了不少笑料，娱乐效果不俗。
