I love the concept of a city builder, but in practice I'm not a huge fan of them. They all start rather easy and comfy, but after a while turn into a never-ending list of problems you need to fix.

The Wandering Village seemed like an exciting concept, and at first it was very enjoyable to play. The idea that your civilization is built on the back of a giant creature implies a kind of symbiosis. Made me think of Star Wars with its theme of concentric worlds and interdependence of people, midi-chlorians and larger cosmic bodies. My mind began teeming with possibilities of a kind of city-builder mixed with a tamagotchi and exploration of a fantasy world.

But tbh, after 2.5 hours of it my mind was just overcome with stress trying to solve a never-ending list problems. That classic city-builder gameplay just sucked all the fun out of the idea.

And, while the game does have exploration and life simulation elements, they're rather minor and completely overshadowed with the city-building gameplay.

That being said, I'm still curious to explore the game more. I know there's a sandbox mode where you can adjust the difficulty and everything. I'll try that next time, perhaps I'll find it more enjoyable.
