<p>New 9front release: THE FRONT END OF TOMORROW</p><p><a href="http://9front.org/releases/2025/04/01/0/" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="9front.org/releases/2025/04/01/0/"><span class="invisible">http://</span><span class="ellipsis">9front.org/releases/2025/04/01</span><span class="invisible">/0/</span></a></p><p><a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a></p>
<p>So are hipsters using Plan 9 or derivatives? Can someone please explain the use case beyond this? This is a real question, not being facetious. <a href="/tags/plan9/" rel="tag">#plan9</a> <a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a> <a href="/tags/plan9front/" rel="tag">#plan9front</a></p>
I made a wallpaper version. 2k resolution. Art by <span class="h-card"><a href="https://merveilles.town/@prahou" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>prahou</span></a></span><br><br><a href="/tags/unix_surrealism/" rel="tag">#unix_surrealism</a> <a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a> <a href="/tags/plan9/" rel="tag">#plan9</a> <a href="/tags/glenda/" rel="tag">#glenda</a><br>
<p>Does anyone in the <a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a> <a href="/tags/plan9/" rel="tag">#plan9</a> community know what I could access the art that appears to be from this email program? It's pretty neat and I want to see If I can get a copy without the username in front. I tried to bring it into Gimp, but sadly my editing skills suck.</p>

I had to reinstall <a href="/tags/openbsd/" rel="tag">#openbsd</a> on x240 because the /usr slice ran out of space during the last sysupgrade. I'm still amazed how fast and easy it is to install. The only os that I can get from 0 to usable faster is <a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a><br>
My websites now run on the werc framework, on 9front. 9void.org thedaemons.space thedaemon.space <a href="/tags/werc/" rel="tag">#werc</a> <a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a> <a href="/tags/thedaemon/" rel="tag">#thedaemon</a><br>
<p>I tried <a href="/tags/femtolisp/" rel="tag">#femtolisp</a> under <a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a>. A bit heretical. Not Unix, not Lisp, not Scheme. Pure fun.<br>I also patched Gemini9 from<br><a href="https://fedi.9til.de/@julienxx" rel="nofollow">@julienxx</a> for a bit of color contrast.</p>
<p><a href="/tags/9front/" rel="tag">#9front</a> taught me with Wdoc2txt and doc2txt among others and how OLE works under Microsoft, which is just a slimmed down FAT FS inside a file. Weird times, indeed.</p>
