The project in general also seems to be well thought out, in terms of roadmap or governance (putting maintenance first in the roadmap and making it strongly visible = 👏).</p><p>Congrats to the team for the release and good luck for the next steps!</p><p>(Edit: there's Ursula K. I just backed <span class="h-card"><a href="https://indieweb.social/@bonfire" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>bonfire</span></a></span> as well, and I think you should too, especially if you are a scholar who cares about academic liberty, freedom of research and trustworthy, ethical and equitable open science.</p><p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://indieweb.social/@bonfire" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>bonfire</span></a></span> is indeed building what they rightfully call a new home for open science : the Open Science Network, built on Bonfire, which is about to go live (<a href="https://openscience.network/" rel="nofollow"><span class="invisible">https://</span>openscience.network/</a>).</p><p>Wondering what this is all about ? <p>Hi <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#fediverse</a> and <a href="/tags/activitypub/" rel="tag">#ActivityPub</a> developers!</p><p>I'm currently working on interoperability testing for <a href="/tags/hollo/" rel="tag">#Hollo</a> and <a href="/tags/fedify/" rel="tag">#Fedify</a>, and I need a <a href="/tags/bonfire/" rel="tag">#Bonfire</a> account to test federation with their implementation.</p><p>Since there aren't many open public Bonfire instances available, I was wondering if any Bonfire instance admins out there would be willing to grant me a test account? It would be a huge help for improving interop! Let me know if you can help. <p>The recent <a href="https://github.com/fedify-dev/hollo/releases/tag/0.7.3" rel="nofollow">Hollo 0.7.3</a> and <a href="https://github.com/fedify-dev/hollo/releases/tag/0.7.4" rel="nofollow">0.7.4</a> updates have improved interoperability with <a href="/tags/bonfire/" rel="tag">#Bonfire</a>. The issue where sending/receiving DMs or mutual following with Bonfire wasn't working properly has been resolved.</p>
