Rated The Cutting Room 8/10
<div>A really solid Glasgow mystery that isn't cop-centric, though the subject matter is definitely not for the squeamish. Since this is from 2003, there are some terms regarding trans people that do not hold up 20 years later, and we definitely didn't need an epigraph for every chapter, but otherwise I liked this.</div>

Rated Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad 8/10
<div>It may have been the cover of the book that drew me in while browsing Libby, but I'm glad I read this biography of Shostakovich, which shows how his life and career intersected with that period of Russian history. There are parallels to world events today, particularly the war crime of letting an entire population starve. Heavy reading, but the information is presented in a straightforward, easy to understand way.</div>

Rated Magical Thinking: True Stories 8/10
Rated The Enigma of Dorian Gray 8/10
I don't play close attention to the Dorian Gray series that Big Finish does, but I always enjoy the bits and pieces I acquire during sales. This is quite good.

Rated The Color of Magic 7/10
<div> I respect Terry Pratchett's whole deal, but I don't know that Discworld is something I'm going to continue with. Now having read 3 of the books —other two being <em>The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents</em> and <em>Witches Abroad </em>— I have found plenty of it funny and I see why people like it, but I'm just not vibing overall. That's ok! I may dip into another book one day, but for now, I have so much else to read.</div>
Rated The Confessions of Dorian Gray: Isolation 6/10
An interesting, short one-off for these interesting times.
Rated Doctor Who: The Dalek Generation 10/10
I loved this, and what a treat to have new Ninth Doctor content again. The tone of these stories is very much in line with his televised stories, even with them occurring pre-Rose.
Rated The Late Americans 8/10
Rated The Eighth of March, Vol. 1 8/10
I was a little less into the Paternoster Gang story compared to the other three stories (though it had many good moments!), but overall, I'm really glad to have listened to this. There are a lot of great women in the Doctor Who/Big Finish universe, and it's great to have a whole release where some of them get to do their own thing and have it all be written by women.

Rated Internment 8/10
<div>I liked this a lot, and even though this came out during the T—p administration, it's still timely, considering we are (hopefully) trying to avoid this near-future. Definitely a good YA version of this type of story.</div>
Rated Death at Morning House 7/10
Rated The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home 10/10
I loved this, though I highly recommend getting the audiobook so you can hear Mara Wilson narrate. One does not need much prior Welcome to Night Vale knowledge to enjoy this book, as the story mostly takes place long before The Faceless Old Woman lands in Night Vale. It's a story of adventure, love, and loss, and I'm very glad to have read it.
