What a clever premise! Wecker has taken us on a well-written journey into turn-of-the-century New York City to watch inexperienced magical beings learn to negotiate relationships in the midst of their need for secrecy. A gentler Neil Gaimanish novel with plenty of action and likeable, uncomplicated characters for interest. Highly recommended.
