The guy who read the first three was AMAZING.<br/>The guy who read #4 was just okay.<br/><br/>Even with the attempt to weigh the performance into my review of this book, I'm still left thinking it wasn't as good as the first books.<br/><br/>It was still great. If you're into the series, but all means grab this guy.
I feel I need to explain my review methodology.<br/><br/>5: recommend to many people with little or no hesitation.<br/>4: recommend to some people, with some hesitation.<br/>3: might recommend it, but needs a warning.<br/><br/>This book needs a warning. The concepts are super interesting. Definitely some cool takeaways, but...<br/><br/>It could have been half as long. The last third was a slog.<br/><br/>You've been warned.

Rated Who's in Charge? Free Will and the Science of the Brain 10/10
A great book. Just the introduction to neuroscience was amazing. If you want an accessible overview of our modern understanding of the brain, this is the place to start. The author's discussion of how we consider guilt and innocence in the context of our evolving understanding of the brain is also fascinating. Highly recommended. A fun and enlightening read.

Super solid sci-fi with some AMAZINGLY prescient looks into the scary future of advanced AI and nanotechnology.<br/><br/>The author clearly read Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence – or at least it reads that way.<br/><br/>The lip biting and pervasive marital discord were a bit over the top, but overall I'd recommend it!
