Rated The Demon of Unrest: A Saga of Hubris, Heartbreak, and Heroism at the Dawn of the Civil War 8/10

Suspenseful and detailed - achieves the goal of giving you a contemporary view of what was happening, and what people expected to happen, in the lead-up to the Civil War.

Finished reading Out of Oz

Rated 1984 10/10

Re-read this for obvious reasons. Striking things in this go-round: the frequent references to machine-made music, novels and even pornography; the preponderance of ugly little weirdos among Party members; the divestment in science that isn't weaponry- or surveillance-related.

Wants to read The Reverse Centaur's Guide to Life After AI

Rated Circle of Days 7/10

This was fun! You can get through it in a day or two and it feels like watching a movie. I'm kind of shocked it was more than 700 pages since I read it as an ebook and it went so quickly.
