<div>Pandemic Era Karen Pirie is more uptight and self-righteous than usual, and she still hasn't learned that diet talk isn't doing her any favors. The ending is a somewhat foregone conclusion (not that our detectives recognize it!), and I guess overall this was just... ok.</div>

<div>Really solid progression of the series, and now with a jump in time, so I can see why the show is (initially??) ending with the previous book. However, I do wish some of the moving parts in this book re: the ending had been a bit more "on screen" than they were, but I suppose that neatly solves the problem of having to come up with those details? Writing hack, ha.</div>
