the entire book is "telling" - there no "showing" and no dialogue whatsoever. <br/><br/>it's transcendent, almost meditative, but there wasn't much payoff in the end. I don't know what the "point" was - or if there was one to be made. props for the creative point of view, but around the halfway mark, I found myself just pushing through to be done.

A book covering a lot of information about the history and the current state of the fashion industry. It will help you 'understand' fashion as we know it today better. The author does sometimes goes into detail a bit too much, in my opinion.

Great overview of the recent (and not so recent) history of Romania, told through the experiences of a journalist who has been visiting the country over the last 30 years or so. I would recommend this book to anyone traveling into Romania and who would like to understand the country and its people a bit better. After reading this book, I felt I could better sympathize with the Romanians - which is wonderful when a book can accomplish this.
