Rated Thrawn Treason 9/10
I always enjoy seeing the internal bureaucracy of the Empire, and this book uses it to great effect. Thawn's intelligence, while unrealistic, is always exiting to follow.Hopefully, future mainline Star Wars projects will maintain his overwhelming sense of control.
Rated Train Smarter, Not Longer - The Minimum Effective Dose for Muscular Development 8/10
This is a really good synopsis of everything someone should know about weight training. There is a lot of BS on social media, but this is scientific evidence based and practical information that will help most people. I think this is best for beginners or people that aren’t sure what is evidence based. For myself who always keeps up with the latest this book did not provide much new material. And repeated itself often, which I think is great for those who haven’t been paying attention in this space. That being said, as a perfectionist this book reminded me to not miss the forest for the trees. If I’m doing something to try to optimize a certain process, it it negatively effects my volume, effort, or bias of the stretch position, the it may be making my training worst. At the end of the day, consistency which leads to good volume is key. But like I said, if you have been lifting and aren’t sure what you should focus on, or pay attention to, this book is for you.
