First off the male MC narrator was terrible. I found him very annoying the entire time. I was hoping that there would be more intensity throughout the book that was relative to the plot but really only found that in short bursts and randomly throughout the story. Also if an air b&b host ever talked to me this much I would cry. I like the author on TikTok and the book was written well but I couldn’t stop knit picking some of the situations in the book. The ending felt rushed and random.

I enjoyed the read, but it felt very slow at some points and then very powerful and emotional points at others. There wasn't a great balance between the two.

I found this story to be very comforting, even though the content was intense here and there. The ending left me wanting more, and it was nice to read from the perspective of literally sitting at a table with someone talking about life and all we've done.
