Creo que lo he comentado un par de veces, pero sin pruebas gráficas, de que en 2021 tuve una beca artística donde presenté un mural de 2x3 de memes de gatos (entre otras cosas).

Me parece adecuado compartirlo este #caturday de limpieza.

Una lona de tela impresa con memes de gatos en el suelo de mi estudio. La lona mide 2 metros de alto y 1 de ancho (debajo estan las otras dos); y encima, mi gata Kat tumbada.

Lillys Tagebuch – 02.09.2026 🐾

Irgendwie ist diese Woche alles ein bisschen anders. Vor allem die Vormittage! Kaum habe ich meine morgendlichen Kontrollgänge erledigt, passiert schon wieder irgendetwas in meinem Reich. Heute allerdings muss ich sagen: Die Zweibeiner haben endlich einmal etwas Vernünftiges gebaut. Für mich! 😸

Mein Kletterparadies wurde nämlich erweitert. Dafür mussten sogar Bücher aus einem Regal weichen. 📚➡️🐈 Ganz klare Prioritätensetzung, würde ich sagen. Bücher können schließlich auch woanders stehen – eine Katze braucht dagegen Bewegungsfreiheit!

Natürlich habe ich die neue Etage sofort persönlich inspiziert. Hoch hinauf geht es nur über mein Seil. Das ist inzwischen kein großes Problem mehr. Elegant balancieren, konzentriert schauen und so tun, als wäre das alles völlig selbstverständlich. 😼

Nur eines muss ich noch herausfinden: Wie komme ich wieder zurück? 🤔 Der Hinweg ist eindeutig, beim Rückweg besteht offenbar noch Optimierungsbedarf. Aber genau solche Herausforderungen liebe ich! Schließlich kann man sein Reich nicht einfach erweitern und dann erwarten, dass die zuständige Kletterexpertin nicht sämtliche Wege, Abkürzungen und möglichen Notausgänge untersucht.

Nachdem ich nun also noch mehr Platz zur Verfügung habe, tat ich anschließend das einzig Logische: Ich legte mich in einen winzigen, halb zerlegten Karton. 📦😂

Ja, ihr seht richtig. Ein großes Reich, Katzenbaum, Seil, neue Regalebene – und ich entscheide mich für eine Pappschachtel, bei der eigentlich schon die Statik aufgegeben hat. Aber eine wichtige Katzenregel lautet: Wenn auch nur eine Pfote hineinpasst, passt die ganze Katze hinein. Das Foto dürfte sämtliche Zweifel beseitigen. 😹

Draußen vor meinen Fenstern wird währenddessen immer noch gearbeitet. Heute wurde sogar das Vogelhaus am Balkon abgebaut. 😿🐦 Damit sieht meine Aussicht plötzlich ganz anders aus. Und viel wichtiger: Wo bekommen meine gefiederten Freunde jetzt ihr Futter und ihr Wasser her?

Das muss dringend überprüft werden. Ich werde die Bauarbeiten weiterhin aufmerksam beobachten. Irgendjemand muss hier schließlich den Überblick behalten.

Neue Kletterwege, rätselhafte Rückwege, ein viel zu kleiner Karton und verschwundene Vogelversorgung – ich habe wirklich alle Pfoten voll zu tun.

Today is #caturday and I am down with the first cold since the last Covid infection more than a year ago. Normally my beloved Puppa would not leave my side in such a situation and keep me company and give comfort. But she’s not here anymore and so the least I can do is dedicate this Saturday to her 🖤. #catsofmastodon

You know about hobo signs? The pictographs that itinerant workers would mark on trees or fences to inform each other about the reception they could expect from locals? (pre-internet yelp, if you will). Signs included “kind lady lives here” and “man with gun lives here”.

TIL that the “kind lady” sign was a stick-drawing of a cat. This got me thinking.

I scrobbled through the history buffer on my driveway camera. Just as i thought, here is my cat scratching a mark on the gatepost. Later, and again here and there are other cats inspecting the mark. No wonder so many lost kittens turn up on my son’s windowsill.
