added tooi and microblog.pub to my #fediverse on #codeberg list

@HurricaneWeasel joined the #Fedilab account at @apps. You might already know him, he's the same person managing issues on #Codeberg.
His help with the account will be really valuable to me. The idea is to better handle issues reported on the #Fediverse and in our repo.
When we post, we'll try as much as possible to sign our messages. So, welcome Marco and thank you!
Tom
I worked to build a place under my dev identity that lists all my active open source projects. It is also a #Codeberg page.
Website: https://tom79.dev/
Still a work in progress, but it's a start.
I moved the #HolosSocial projects (app, relay and discover, to stay consistent) to my own git at https://git.holos.social/tom79
As a reminder about this choice: I used an AI to write part of the #Holos docs, and also to review and help me fix some code I had written. At first I didn't feel concerned by the debate (no vibe coding on my side), but it went further than that. Out of respect for everyone using my work, transparency and action were needed.
I might have been unclear in my messages when I made the choice to move some projects from #Codeberg to a self-hosted git solution.
These projects weren't vibe coding and weren't affected. I did it because the debate goes beyond vibe coding, and I feel more comfortable speaking in full transparency and taking action to respect all views.
I'm proud to be on Codeberg as a dev for 7 years, and all my other projects will stay, #Fedilab included.
Tom
For the next release of #Fedilab, I'm mainly planning to fix bugs (see the label on Codeberg that lets you filter them).
Of course, if Marco spots high-priority ones, I'll fix those first.
But thanks to his help linking and prioritizing issues, you can even see three-year-old ones getting fixed.
That's why the #Codeberg repo remains the best place to share your feedback.

Release Notes: https://codeberg.org/gitnex/GitNex/releases
Big thanks to @HurricaneWeasel for the amazing work on #Fedilab issues on our #Codeberg repo!
Your help is invaluable! 🙏
A quick question for #Fedilab users: would you find it useful if I used milestones on #Codeberg? The idea is to group issues by upcoming release, so you can see what is planned for the next version, what is being worked on, and when it should be ready. Your feedback will help me decide if it is worth setting them up.
Options: (choose one)
To #Codeberg users of #Fedilab, once authenticated this link shows the issues you opened yourself. Could you have a look and check if some can be closed? Thank you.

Reading through this year's #Codeberg proposals and found this sad statistic.
Also note that we have somewhat little participation in many votes. [...] from recent polls, the participants / eligible voters looks like this:
20.45% → 21.91% → 25.88% → 16.64% → 17.59% → 16.45%
(percentage calculated by me; from least to most recent)
Ouch! We get more and more members, but it looks like almost none of them decide to vote.
If you are an active Codeberg member: Check your emails! You should've received eight separate mails with links to the voting portal. If you haven't, contact Codeberg.
Please take your time (it took me less than an hour), read the proposals, and vote on them!
Thank you so much @HurricaneWeasel for organizing #Fedilab issues into projects on #Codeberg. Sorting them by category (Quick Wins, UI/UX, Features, Bugs...), you did invisible work that will help me and all Fedilab users. Much appreciated.
I have seen the @Codeberg people say they don't want to be the only code-forge.
I.e., they don't want to replace GitHub. They want there to be many code-forges out there, including them.
I agree with this goal.
But — I think until we (at least) have federated pull-requests, this is less likely to happen.
And, I do know that there is an effort to add ActivityPub support to Forgejo, Gitea, and others.
I think ForgeFed is important for this goal
The second 'official' release is here! One big push:
**2x faster prediction, 2x more accurate**

#HolosDiscover is back, from a clean slate.
A #Fediverse search engine that uses standard #ActivityPub federation. It follows you like any account, respects indexable flags, #nobot, #noindex, locked accounts. Deletions, edits, blocks are processed instantly through ActivityPub.
You have full control. Block it, mention it with "unfollow", or disable indexing in your settings.

RE: https://mastodon.ar.al/@aral/117036096486689894
Dear @Codeberg,
According to the anonymous Linux-Is-Best account, I am a scammer and Gaza Verified (https://gaza-verified.org), which I made and help run, is a scam, and every person from Gaza we verified using video calls – all 303 of them, by last count¹ – is also a scammer.
(Please see: https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Community/issues/2971)
This presents a problem because I am also a part of the Codeberg organisation as an active member with voting rights.
And the Gaza Verified source code is hosted on Codeberg:
https://codeberg.org/small-web/gaza-verified.org
(We’re clearly a very transparent scam operation that believes in FOSS, etc.)
So, if Linux-Is-Best is right, you are harbouring a known scammer in your organisation. Furthermore, by allowing the source code of the scam on your site, you could be held liable if you know of the scam but do nothing about it.
So, please:
1. Either remove me as an active member (and give me notice so I can cancel my direct debit and have time to migrate my account and projects elsewhere), or
2. Take down the libellous claims by this anonymous troll who is causing real harm to people facing genocide in Gaza (and who is thus, himself, complicit in genocide).
So I’m either a scammer and I should not be allowed to be part of the Codeberg organisation or the anonymous Linux-Is-Best is a libellous, genocide-complicit troll and should not be welcome at Codeberg. Because both of these cannot be true at the same time.
I’ll leave it to you to decide who you would rather want associated with Codeberg.
It shouldn’t be a very difficult decision to make.

Next week, I will be back on #Fedilab. I might increase the release delivery through beta versions (every one or two days). I know I can do that because there is an active community of beta testers with Fedilab. Those releases will be published on Google Play (beta channel), #Fdroid (custom repo) and #Codeberg (release notes).
Following Codeberg's recent decisions about projects developed with the use of AI, we have moved to @codefloe . The new Catodon repo url is https://codefloe.com/catodon/catodon - please update your git remote!
We are thankful to Codeberg for hosting us so far, but we will not apologize for utilizing one of the biggest technological breakthroughs in decades for the development of open source software, nor for spending countless hours in order to create a great fediverse platform with unique features, bridging the microblogging and the threadiverse sides of fedi. If you need to judge the project, you can judge it by the end result instead of the tools we use for development.
We prefer not to be judged for just doing what we love and making it available to everyone for free, though, so we're excited to join Codefloe!

Fixing issues is a challenge. But I'm really happy, because since Marco has been here to help on #Codeberg, a lot has been fixed in #Fedilab.
Where I felt overwhelmed, he helped prioritize with categories, and even flagged high-priority issues, which helps me focus on the fixes.
He listens to you where I was lost. My bookmarks had become useless and misleading, because I couldn't keep up. That's why you now get help on this account signed Marco.
A big thank you for his help.
The source code of #PawFed is now available on #Codeberg. PawFed is a federated map for animal welfare: reports come from the #Fediverse via #ActivityPub mentions, and permanent places like shelters and vets are pulled from OpenStreetMap.
A location is not always required: if you have supplies or food to give away and can ship, just say so.
Found an abandoned animal? Just report it.
How to build a message: https://pawfed.org/tags
Source code: https://codeberg.org/tom79/PawFed
I can no longer manage issues on the Fediverse through mentions or DMs. All projects that I maintain have a dedicated entry on #Codeberg to manage issues.
Bookmarking messages is a bad UX, and I can no longer promise to do it. Really sorry for that.
The #HolosSocial relay is now stable enough to be tagged and published in production.
If you're interested, there is an interactive installation script and full documentation to do all the steps yourself with Docker on the #Codeberg project.
Running a relay is not like running an instance. They provide infrastructure. People with custom domains and Cloud for their media don't depend on a relay to keep their account. That's the whole purpose of this project, owning an #ActivityPub identity.
#Fedle source code is now available on #Codeberg.
https://codeberg.org/tom79/Fedle
It is a daily word game for the #Fediverse that currently supports English and French.
I added a small doc explaining how to submit a new language, which will be automated by a bot once validated.
See
https://codeberg.org/tom79/Fedle/src/branch/main/ADD_LANGUAGE.md
Fedle is really new in the Fediverse but you're more than welcome to join the game. Keep sharing :)
