Blue: My favourite weather! Blue and Green talk as they are on their way somewhere. Blue: Remind me to get paint stripper on our way home. Green: Okay! Visiting Blue's parents, Blue's mother is sitting on top of a big crate, while his father is sitting on the ground next to it. Blue looks at the crate eagerly. Blue's mother: We have a whole crate of this stuff we can't get rid of. Blue: That's the exact stuff I needed! Soon enough, Blue and Green are back on their way, dragging the massive crate home. Blue raises an eyebrow in distrust. Blue: Today has been going suspiciously well. Green: It's your birthday.

Surrounded by pink soap bubbles, Green sighs as the soap he had been holding bounces off to somewhere unseen. Narration: Showering in the dark is nice until you lose the soap. Green: Ah, no. As Green is fumbling for the soap in the dark, his nose starts dripping something dark. Narration: Or get a nosebleed while looking for it. Green: Oh come on. Once Green steps out of the shower, Blue zips past him into the bathroom. Green looks towards him in alarm. Narration: Or you only have one bathroom Green: Wai- Blue: My turn! Green looks to the direction of the sound with an unreadable expression as Blue screams from the bathroom. Narration: And you didn't warn your partner fast enough.

Se ven los colores planos con algunas sombras y parte de los detalles.
Son cuatro viñetas, encima y debajo de ellas hay textos que dicen:

Pero un día, a mediados de Ramadan, salen en tropel y toman camino de Nicea. En su marcha rapiñan las cosechas que están a punto de entrojarse, incendian las aldeas, todas ellas cristianas, matan a quienes se resisten y, según parece, han llegado a arrojar al fuego a niños pequeños aun vivos.
En las dos primeras viñetas se ven unos hombreas a caballo avanzando hacia unas vigas de paja en la que hay un campesino y un hombre con cota de malla tirando al fuego a un bebé envuelto en trapos. En la hoguera hay otro niño.

El sol no ha llegado al ocaso y ya se ven los incendios desde las murallas de la ciudad. Kilij Arslan envía una patrulla de inmediato. Los jinetes, muy inferiores en número, son aplastados. El sultán, para mantener su prestigio, quiere dar batalla pero sus emires le persuaden: ya cae la noche y los frany se retiran raudos hacia Civitot.
En las dos viñetas finales se ven dos grupos de caballeros enfrentándose, uno de los grupos tiene a guerreros caídos o muertos.

Me han regalado el primer volumen recopilatorio de Les Cités Obscures, de Schuiten & Peeters. Tengo que empapármela, pero parece una delicia para los que nos gustan los comics y la arquitectura. La edición es preciosa y solo le encuentro la pega típica en estas recopilaciones: el tamaño (a ver qué tal aguanta la encuadernación) Para muestra un botón. #comic #bd #arquitectura #architecture
