Remember the movies by Roger Corman and Vincent Price based on Poe's stories? Maybe that team and some intensive rewrites could have turned the idea of this flick into a proper cult classic.
Sadly, that wasn't the case, The Asphyx has all of the cheese and none of the charm.

Saw this one because of @cohanf and @welshpixie . Tnak you, I owe you a good, fun show.

Boy, that scalated slowly.

finished watching Death of a Unicorn
I don't get it: mid budget horror comedy, not a sequel, competent cast, ludicrous monsters, capitalism bad / nature good, props and sound effects referencing classic genre movies... I should love this, but, for some reason that escapes me, I can't care less.
finished watching Superman
That was surprisingly fun! And no wonder the right are mad about it: for starters, a broligarch and Netanyahu are the villains XD

If Garland wants to make public sculpture and blue-chip films, that's great, but maybe he shouldn't pick Anthony Gormley as a referent, this just feels silly.

Part Courtroom Movie, part Action Movie... All propaganda.
finished watching Hot Spring Shark Attack 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
I don't like Sharknado or bad movies made on purpose, but this... this isn't like that Assylum crap, this is great. Everything about it, from the practical models to the plot twists, all of it seems tailor made to make me laugh and clap.
Thank you, internet, and thank you to everybody who worked on this, you've reignited my love for this kind of movie.

Testing NeoDB's integration with my new Mastodon instance. Also, I think I haven't read anything by Octavia Butler.

People ignoring an obvious threat until it starts killing them, and even then, they keep shrugging it off. This is a relevant idea, it could have worked much better than the asteroid from Don't Look Up, but the thing is... it does not, it utterly fails, at everything. ::facepalm::
