También denunciamos la hipocresía del PP de Feijóo, que promete moderación mientras sus representantes protagonizan nuevas polémicas por sus insultos. The death of Maricarmen, the 87-year-old woman evicted from her home in Madrid who became a symbol of the struggle for the right to housing, lays bare the cruelty of those who devoted their efforts to criminalising and discrediting her. After managing to secure her return to her home thanks to social mobilisation and the support of the Tenants’ Union, Mari Carmen was subjected to a campaign of attacks, insults and disinformation from sectors of the political and media right. We analyse the role of Iker Jiménez, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the People’s Party (PP) and various talk-show hosts who spread accusations against her, as well as the manipulation directed against the protests and the camp at Puerta del Sol. We also denounce the hypocrisy of Feijóo’s PP, which promises moderation whilst its representatives are at the centre of new controversies due to their insults.
