<p>I’m caught up in this <a href="/tags/pixelfed/" rel="tag">#Pixelfed</a> frenzy, just got trends to show up in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a></p>
fedicat
<p>whoa, <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> has 722 localization keys (but just two languages right now)</p>
<p>now by default <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> limits the number of tag and mention buttons displayed, there is a … button to expand</p>
<p>I don't remember exactly when, but I started playing with <a href="/tags/tootsdk/" rel="tag">#tootsdk</a> sometime in Feb-Mar two years ago so <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> is two years old now.</p>
<p>adding <a href="/tags/pixelfed/" rel="tag">#Pixelfed</a> collections to <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a></p>
<p>I've been adding <a href="/tags/pixelfed/" rel="tag">#pixelfed</a> support to <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> by looking at the source for their new app to see what API they're using.</p><p><a href="https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-rn" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-rn"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-r</span><span class="invisible">n</span></a></p>
<p>adding <a href="/tags/pixelfed/" rel="tag">#Pixelfed</a> profile websites and pronouns to <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a></p>
<p><a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> supports alt text in <a href="/tags/gotosocial/" rel="tag">#GotoSocial</a> avatars and headers</p>
<p>fixing up the <a href="/tags/gotosocial/" rel="tag">#GotoSocial</a> web visibility settings in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a></p>
<p>besides <a href="/tags/gotosocial/" rel="tag">#GotoSocial</a> there’s also <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> support for local only posting in <a href="/tags/hometown/" rel="tag">#Hometown</a></p>
<p>reorganizing the <a href="/tags/gotosocial/" rel="tag">#GotoSocial</a> interaction policy options in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> to free up screen space</p>
<p>btw, I have two other apps on the <a href="/tags/appstore/" rel="tag">#appstore</a> in maintenance and non-maintenance modes (so free). I worked on them for ten years each, so I should be good for another eight on <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a></p><p><a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/technicat-llc/id295241742" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="apps.apple.com/us/developer/technicat-llc/id295241742"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">apps.apple.com/us/developer/te</span><span class="invisible">chnicat-llc/id295241742</span></a></p>
<p>it’s got a lo-res look too it, but the <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> testflight builds do sort of work on a mac (posting this from mine)</p>
<p>btw you don’t need a <a href="/tags/neodb/" rel="tag">#neodb</a> account to browse the trending media, it’s publicly accessible from the instance view in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> button on the right</p>
<p>Hanging out with Orejas on <a href="/tags/caturday/" rel="tag">#Caturday</a> <a href="/tags/chamedi/" rel="tag">#Chamedi</a> <a href="/tags/sábadodegatos/" rel="tag">#SábadoDeGatos</a> <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#FediCat</a> <a href="/tags/catsofmastodon/" rel="tag">#CatsOfMastodon</a></p>

<p>not sure how useful this is but in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> you can view the notifications you received from a specific user</p>
<p>new <a href="/tags/pixelfed/" rel="tag">#Pixelfed</a> content filters working in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a></p>
<p>i’ve just download a nice mobile app <span class="h-card"><a href="https://pc.cafe/@fedicat" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>fedicat</span></a></span> <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a></p><p>so far the best ios activitypub client i’ve ever use. highly recommended!</p><p>checkout their cool mastodon instance too. 😎</p>
<p>next <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> build can view the mastodon 4.4 terms of service</p>
<p>I don’t have them displayed directly on profiles yet but in <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> on <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a> 4.4 you can feature a followed account and long press on an account to see its featured list (on the web UI it’s under the featured tab along with featured tags and pinned posts)</p>
<p>I lopped off five thousand lines of code last week but <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> is still growing fast - 35k lines in the fedicat package (which includes customized versions of tootsdk and html2markdown) and 25k lines in the UI. Still, the official mastodon app is over 100k.</p>
<p>The instance translation does a nice job of translating the entire post (although <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#Fedicat</a> has a bug where it doesn’t display translated polls). As a fallback, e.g. if the instance doesn’t have translation installed, you can always long press on the individual text to use apple translation.</p>
<p>just fyi, I've been seeing testflight crash logs for <a href="/tags/fedicat/" rel="tag">#fedicat</a> last couple of weeks but so far they're all on iOS 26</p>
