<p>I love the idea of local governments having Fedi accounts. It sounds silly, but the idea of a bunch of local departments being able to get their messages out can actually be really useful. Think about how many municipal accounts post updates on Twitter to keep people informed about local events or developments. </p><p><a href="/tags/fedicon/" rel="tag">#FediCon</a></p>

And he reached out to Canadian Fediverse participants to get a great lineup of speakers.
