<p>With my <a href="/tags/fediforum/" rel="tag">#FediForum</a> attendee hat on, rather than the organizer hat on, here are some things I want to discuss with you all:</p><p>Upcoming legal requirements for social media interop (utah, other us states, eu dma revision etc) – how does this impact our community?</p><p>From millions to billions – what is a plausible narrative for how to grow the open social web?</p><p>What should the european union (and other countries) do about social media?</p><p>Not sure I&#x27;ll get to all of them ... <a href="https://fediforum.org" rel="nofollow"><span class="invisible">https://</span>fediforum.org</a></p>

<p>Mind-blowing fact from <span class="h-card"><a href="https://werd.social/@ben" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ben</span></a></span> during <a href="/tags/fediforum/" rel="tag">#fediforum</a> : in an fundraising experiment, he was able to raise more donations for <a href="/tags/propublica/" rel="tag">#Propublica</a> on the Fediverse than on any other social channel. 🤯</p>

<p>The new <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a> team is starting to hit its stride! We&#x27;re about to ship Quote Posts in 4.5 and our next release (4.6) will have (Starter)Packs (name tdb). <p>I&#x27;m looking forward to the <a href="/tags/fediforum/" rel="tag">#Fediforum</a> &quot;Growing the Open Social Web&quot; workshop on Monday.</p><p>I&#x27;m extremely dubious about a lot of the submissions. <p>For some reason, all of these fediverse events keep hitting up against real life stuff.
