Pociąg (Jerzy Kawalerowicz, 1959) An intriguing, languid film which somehow promises to be a murder mystery on a night train but deftly plays with viewer's expectations. The mystery in the end is not so much the identity of the murderer as the social web that is Polish life at the end of the 1950's. A bit slow but the great subdued acting, cinematography and jazz with plenty of vibraphone pull you in. #cinemastodon #film
