[ES] Los serbales y mostajos son especies secundarias en muchos bosques de la península Ibérica. Es bastante típico verlos crecer en tocones viejos como este o en la horquilla hueca de otro árbol.

[EN] Rowans and whitebeams are secondary species in many Iberian forests. It is typical to find them growing in old stumps like this or in hollow tree forks.

More July outings. A nice hike on the Iron Goat Trail near Stevens Pass (7/8/26). This hike is along the old railroad grade, not difficult, wildflowers, butterflies, and tunnels. Looking back at these photos I see the summer is fading away.

"Bamboo Lattice" for #ForestFriday

Bamboo is a grass (Poaceae family, the "true grasses") but I guess to every bug on the ground, grass looks just a forest. 😁 Bamboo's a bigger grass, and we're just bigger bugs. :)
