<p>Some nice themes running through the <a href="/tags/socialweb/" rel="tag">#SocialWeb</a> Devroom at <a href="/tags/fosdem/" rel="tag">#FOSDEM</a>: storytelling from different national and international contexts (Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Europe); new apps and ideas (badgefed, splinter, FASPs, Spritely); building infrastructure and foundational tech (Bonfire, Fedify, Emissary). This is really great momentum! The speaker list today has been wonderful.</p>

<p>Heute auf der <a href="/tags/fosdem/" rel="tag">#FOSDEM</a> habe ich dank <a href="/tags/appzwang/" rel="tag">#Appzwang</a> leider keinen Burger bekommen 😣.</p><p>An den Foodtrucks war nur Bestellung und Bezahlung online möglich, und Bezahlung dann wiederum nur online per Kreditkarte, aber das geht nicht, weil meine Bank für Onlinezahlungen eine Verifizierung per App, die ohne echtes Google-ROM nicht funktioniert, erfordert.)</p><p>Ganz großartig gemacht – sowohl die Bank, als auch der Caterer der FOSDEM – warum zum Henker kann man nicht einfach Bargeld und/oder Karten annehmen?</p>

FOSDEM 2026 - The first day is over and I summarized the day...<br><br>Like always, I'm attending only the first day which mean the day begins very early in the morning. This year, <a href="/tags/sovereignty/" rel="tag">#Sovereignty</a> was clearly one of the most important topics, but I also had some great talks at the <a href="/tags/proxmox/" rel="tag">#Proxmox</a> stand, with the guys at Vates (<a href="/tags/xcpng/" rel="tag">#XCPng</a>) and of course at the <a href="/tags/freebsd/" rel="tag">#FreeBSD</a> and <a href="/tags/illumos/" rel="tag">#illumos</a> stand. Sadly, they were in the very last corner of the floor hall in building H.
