<p>If you haven't done it, being the admin or moderator for a Fediverse instance is labor, y'all. Nothing about it is easy.</p><p>The lesson I'm taking away from the broader Fediverse's meltdown over the <a href="/tags/fosstodon/" rel="tag">#fosstodon</a> thing is that we need more and smaller instances. 200-300 active users is manageable for a small admin/mod team. More than that, and you're just asking for trouble.</p><p>Speaking of, are you tossing some $$/££/€€/equivalent to the team running the instance you're on?</p><p>And thank your admin/mod teams often. Maybe even see if they need a volunteer.</p>
