#Eventbrite to be acquired by #BendingSpoons, following their acquisition of #Meetup.com which caused many users to migrate to Eventbrite in the first place. I think at this point it becomes very obvious that the #Fediverse is the best place to coordinate your meetups, and you have many options to choose from: #Mobilizon, #Gancio and even #Wordpress with the #ActivityPub Event Bridge plugin. Everyone knows Bending Spoon's playbook, enshittification is inevitable.

with the aim of making the project more community-based, the idea is to have a weekly meeting for anyone who wants to chat, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and contribute to the project.

The first meeting will be at 1 p.m. (UTC) on Wednesday, November 5 on the IRC channel #gancio on irc.libera.chat and on a jitsi channel that will be shared there (and here).

Last week, I had an online meeting with the developers of #Gancio, #Mobilizon and #LAUTI. We either found out that we had already planned our trip to this year's #FOSDEM or were thinking about it. We spontaneously proposed a last-minute BOF, and I'm glad it was accepted. See you in Brussels! :) @fosdem
